the furniture staging Process
Step 1. Initial Consultation
One of our stylists will arrange to meet you at your property to assess what is required and what style and layout will best compliment the property and appeal to that particular demographic the property is being marketed to. This is where the stylist works out how much furniture is required to provide a fully itemized quote.
Step 2. Proposal / Quote / Contract
A fully itemized proposal/quote/contract will be provided within 24 hours of our appointment via email which will be a summary of inventory items required from InSitu’s expansive warehouse range for property styling along with examples and photos of our most recent projects.
Step 3. Booking
All you need to do is sign off and send the paperwork back to us via email so your job can be booked into the calendar. On accepting our quote we will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient date to complete your install.
This will be based on your deadlines to have the property prepared and our availability. We typically like to install the day prior to photography. Staging properties is a lengthy process in the design phase, so 1-2 weeks lead time is usually required to schedule a job once the quote has been signed off.
Step 4. Install
This is where everything comes together. On the day of install you can expect to see our stylists, operations team and one of our trucks. Be prepared that you may not recognise your house at the end. The install process takes between 3 -6 hours depending on the size of the property.
Step 5. Removal or Continue to Hire
On the sale of your property or the contract expiring, we need to know this as soon as possible as we require 5 working days’ notice to book a removal in. Any day/s over the contract period is charged. If your property is still on the market you have the opportunity to continue to hire the furniture on a weekly basis, this cost per week is itemised in your original contract.
